We are a family operation having been in the outfitting business for 22 years. We believe in handling small numbers of people which gives each client a better hunting experience and we can spend more time with each client.
Three members of our family make up the core of our business; myself (Frank Hathaway) my wife Gail and our son David.
I was the local forest ranger for 35 years -this provided me with a valuable knowledge of wildlife as well as the rivers, lakes, mountains and valleys it inhabited and the vast system of logging roads in this area.
My son David and I act as guides; David has worked in forestry for many years and knows the areas we hunt as well as anyone ,he is entering his 24th year as a licenced guide. His specialty is ruffed grouse and migratory game hunting, he owns two very well-trained dogs which are available to assist our clients at any time.
My wife Gail is our camp cook; she came from a large family where being a good cook was a "must"; all the meals we serve our clients are home-cooked and our past clients have always given nothing but positive feedback, one of our long-time visitors, Robert Smith of Freehold,N.S once quipped "The deer, bears and moose can go but if the cook goes that's when I go"- well, Gail is still here (and so are the deer ,bears and moose!)-all kidding aside the last thing any of our guests need worry about is spending a day afield and returning to camp to have a TV dinner or junk food passed off a meal.
David's wife Karenna also assists Gail with serving and preparing meals when required, rounding out our family operation, incidentaly, many times we're heard our long-time clients say "Coming back here is like a family reunion", we offer hospitality and hunting that, in our opinion certainly, is second to none and we all thank you for taking the time to visit our web site and hope to hear from you in the near future.
